Providence Hardwood Flooring
We’ve seen just about everything when it comes to flooring. For over 17 years, Vlad Mineran (Owner/Operator) and his brother Silviu have installed, repaired and refinished hardwood, laminate, engineered and luxury vinyl for customers from Salisbury to the Piedmont Triad.
But what really separates us from most other flooring companies is that we do everything ourselves, from the initial consultation to the final walkthrough. We don’t send salespeople to conduct estimates. Vlad assesses each flooring situation personally to properly understand the true needs of his customers and recommend the best options. And he doesn’t stop there. He’ll define the work requirements, schedule the work and with his brother, complete the job all the way until final walkthrough.

Our Services
When considering new flooring, you’re faced with several options. From the different types of flooring, colors, durability, and ultimately who you can trust to deliver exceptional quality and service. No need to worry. We’re here to answer all of your questions and to help you make the best decision possible. When you're ready to move forward, we’ll schedule and complete the work as promised. Because we do the work ourselves, we’ll be there to answer questions and address concerns all the way until the final inspection.
Discovery: We’re available to discuss your flooring needs between 7am-7pm Mon-Sat. Find out how we can help by contacting us.
Consultation: After the discovery call, we’ll schedule time to physically inspect and measure your flooring, answer questions, make recommendations and provide a fair and accurate estimate.
Work: When ready to move forward, we’ll schedule a convenient date and time to complete the work. (The length of time required varies by floor type) The first work visit usually includes discussions around housekeeping, stain selection, etc.
Final Inspection: After the work is complete, we’ll view the finished product, address concerns and discuss potential opportunities.
Installation
We help you choose flooring that looks incredible and fits your budget. We install hardwood, engineered, laminate and luxury vinyl.
Installation time differs depending on which type is chosen. Typically, luxury vinyl is quickest and could be completed within a day. Laminate is also typically quicker to install while hardwood and engineered require more time.
Hardwood Floor Refinishing
When you're considering an upgrade to your flooring, your faced with several options. in many cases, restoring (refinishing) your hardwood floors is a good investment.
According to data from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), refinishing hardwood floors often returns more value than it costs. One report shows cost recovery of around 147%, meaning homeowners tend to recoup more than what they spent when selling.
In addition, hardwood floors typically last much longer than most other flooring types. In fact, longevity is one of the biggest reasons people choose hardwood.
Finally, hardwood floors are generally considered healthier than many other flooring types, especially carpet.
Providence Hardwood Flooring has restored and refinished many different types and ages of hardwood, including one pine floor dating back to 1920.
Hardwood Floor Repair
In many cases, we discover minor surface damage such as scratches, dents, or small chips that can often be fixed without replacing entire boards. These are especially common in high-traffic areas like entryways and kitchens.
In other cases, we use our experience and expertise to replace severely damaged planks and blending them with the existing flooring
Movement: If you feel the floor shift beneath you, or hear persistent squeaking in certain spots, that could mean the subfloor is loose or the fasteners are wearing out.
Exposed Nails: Not only do they look unpleasant but also are a genuine risk of getting hurt/injured while walking.
Severe Discoloration: Severe wood discoloration can indicate that the floor is beyond repair and requires replacement.

After receiving 3 quotes from other companies, I selected Providence Hardwood Flooring and couldn’t be happier. Vlad and his brother were professional and personable at every step of the process. They are true craftsmen. While conducting the initial site inspection, Vlad uncovered the original pine flooring in the kitchen that was previously unknown to me. They even installed the shoe molding which saved me time and hassle for. Highly recommended!!!
